Here is some more detailed information about the September topics:

EARLY LOSS
In this session, we cover terminology about loss under 20 weeks, we look at the different types of loss and briefly discuss clinical management. We also talk about legalities and most importantly, how to support women and pregnant people who have experienced early loss.
DISCUSSION WEBINAR: with bereaved parents, Thursday 7 September 2023, 8:00-9:00pm

DECISION-MAKING FOLLOWING AN UNEXPECTED DIAGNOSIS IN PREGNANCY
When parents are given an unexpected diagnosis in pregnancy, they are often sent away to make a decision, with very little support or information. We'll talk about how you can support parents during this very hard time, with reference to literature and resources.
DISCUSSION WEBINAR: no discussion webinar, see the next two in which decision-making will be included as a topic.

PERINATAL HOSPICE
When parents decide to continue a pregnancy following an unexpected and often lethal diagnosis, it is called perinatal hospice. It's not a place, it's a model of care. In this session, we talk about providing care and support throughout such a pregnancy.
DISCUSSION WEBINAR: with bereaved parents, Thursday 21 September 2023, 8:00-9:00pm

ENDING A WANTED PREGNANCY
When parents decide to end a pregnancy following an unexpected and often lethal diagnosis, they are faced with many dilemmas. They contend with the social stigma associated with their decision, their own moral distress, and embrace their grief and love for their baby.  In this session, we talk about providing care and support throughout such a pregnancy.
DISCUSSION WEBINAR: with bereaved parents, Thursday 28 September, 8:00-9:00pm
